I haven't recieved the activation e-mail!

I recieved a lot off complaints that ppl haven't recieved the activation email almost all of those used a Road Runner or hotmail account. With more than 40.000 registered users and growing, I simply do not have the time to deal with this individually so folks from now on *@*.rr.com and *@hotmail.com email accounts are blocked for registration, please use another email account!
If you already used another account and still haven't recieved the activation email make sure you e-mail service does not block e-mails from kloofy.net (mailblocker) and check your 'spam' folder (webmail) for the activation e-mail and wait at least 3 days! after you registered before trying to register again under a different username.

I cannot register!

This site is working just fine with the latest IE, Firefox and Opera.
You may have chosen an invalid username (e.g. to short) or email (*.rr.com, *.hotmail.com, ...), try again.
It's only important that your browser sends the http-referr as the scriopt checks if you are coming from my site when trying to register / download subs. Change the settings in your firewall (see 2nd question for instructions) or disable it.
If you want to use the autologin feature you have to tick 'remember me' when you logg in the first time and accept cookies from kloofy.net.
If you still cannot register, try to disable all anonymity

I cannot download the subs (always get the AntiLeecherGateway page)!

If they differ or there is no second location shown, your browser / proxy / firewall or security software is preventing your browser from sending that information.

Disable your downloadmanager
Try to enable "http-referrer" in your firewall :

Norton: Click "Privacy Control" -> "Configure" -> "Custom Level" -> UNCHECK "Enable Browser Privacy"
ZoneAlarm: Click "Privacy" -> "Cookie Control" -> "Custom" and UNCHECK "remove private header information"

Change browser settings or use a different browser.
If your connected via a proxy / cache disable it.

If nothing is working, you may have your connection analysed @privacy.net . If still nothing works I am sorry but you may just have to live with it.

Your subs are corrupt / I cannot decompress the .rar archives!

The subs in the 'instant sub-post' are mostly unverified so please post the corrupt sub in 'shoutbox'.
ALL subs in database however are verified and fine!
If the files you download are always corrupt, STOP using a download manager (e.g. download accelerator plus)
update your compression utility ( e.g. get the latest winrar) and clear your diskcache, then TRY AGAIN!
If you still have probs after doing so please PM kLOOFy and include name and version of your OS, browser and compression utility in that message.

How do I REQUEST A SUBTITLE in Shoutbox / Forum?

1. Look in instant sub-post for the sub you wanna request, the latest subs are NOT yet in the database.
2. Search the database for the sub
3. Search imdb.com for alternate titles, redo steps 1-2
4. You can now post the request in Shoutbox
5. Search the forum for the sub, there may be already a thread requesting the sub, if so post there.
6. You can now post the request in Forum

What is NOT ALLOWED in Shoutbox / Forum?

Do NOT post anything concerning filesharing (p2p/ed2k/BT/...)!
Those posts will get deleted and you'll may get banned!
Posts that are not about the site, asian movies or subs have to go in OFFtopic section.

I have english subs for asian movies but I am not sure if they're already on your site, should I upload them?

Sure, up all you have, often there are different subs for one movie because of different releases (1CD / 2CD versions of a movie) or some fixed subs (spellcheck / resync). If I already have that version, I'll later delete the sub.

NOPE! Non-english subs for asian movies can ONLY be uploaded to the FORUM and ONLY if NO ENGLISH SUBTITLE EXISTS! Post a subtitle request in the FORUM and upload the non-english sub as attachment, you should mention format and language of the sub file! Please note that the max filesize for attachments is 1MB.

What should I do before posting subs?

Make sure the subs you want to upload are in english, for an asian (bollywood) movie and in .srt formate.
Look in 'Instant Sub-Post' and search in database if 'your' subtitle was already uploaded!
Search imdb.com for alternate titels and search again in database.

How should I name the subtitle file?

NO non-english characters in filename!
NO special characters like (&,/,*,\,..) in filename!
Filename beginns with CAPITAL letter!

When and how should I tag the subtitle file?

Do NOT tag '[XXX]' the subs unless you WORKED on them!
Working means you made the subs OR you edited the subs so a tag is not just an ego thing, it also means that this is a different version of the sub.
[yourname] - sub was made by you (by translating, ripping, converting)
[fix.yourname] - sub was edit by you (resynching, spellchecking, ...)
please add a txt file to the archive explaining which sub you edited and what you did to it, e.g. readme.txt : 'spellchecked file xxx.(subs.2ya.com).rar'
If you wanna get credit for 'just' finding / uploading you can use 'upl.by.XXX' in filename but it will get deleted when repacking / adding the file to the database!

Why not have subs for none-asian movies / subs for asian movies in other languages than english?

There are enough sites dealing with that kind of subs. However, there probably will be other 'sections' of kLOOFy.net besides 'Asian Subs' and Bollywood Subs' in the near future.
